DAS LITAUISCHE KAMMERORCHESTER IN WIEN

Anlässlich der Präsidentschaft der Republik Litauen bei der Organisation für Sicherheit und Zusammenarbeit in Europa (OSZE) 2011 trat das litauische Kammerorchester zusammen mit Solisten Gleb Pyšniak und Robertas Beinaris am 12 Januar 2011 im Hofburg Festsaal auf. Im Programm – Werke von Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Pjotr Tschaikowski sowie von den litauischen Komponisten Bronius Kutavičius und Jonas Tamulionis.  

Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra. Founded in 1960 by Prof. Saulius Sondeckis the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra (LCO) is recognised as one of the finest and most internationally acclaimed Lithuanian orchestras. The LCO was the first among Lithuanian orchestras to make its debut in the West at the Echternach Festival in Luxembourg in 1976, which embarked them on an international career and new possibilities. Since 2008 distinguished violinist Sergej Krylov is the Orchestra's Artistic Director and Principal Conductor. The Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra has toured almost every European country, North and South Americas, Japan, Egypt, and the Republic of South Africa. The audiences have applauded the LCO at the Berlin Philharmonic, Musikverein in Vienna, Royal Festival in London, Santa Cecilia in Rome, Concertgebouw

in Amsterdam, Pleyel Hall in Paris, Gewandhaus in Leipzig. They have repeatedly appeared with

M. Rostropovitch, Y. Bashmet, G. Kremer, V. Spivakov, T. Grindenko, I. Oistrakh, Y. Kissin, B. Douglas, D. Geringas, M. Maisky, S. Chang, V. Repin, J. Rachlin and Lord Yehudi Menuhin. 

Robertas Beinaris (b.1977) graduated the Lithuanian Music Academy in 2001 and completed his post-graduate studies of art in 2003. In 2002 and 2003, he was on probation at the Lyon National Music Conservatoire (prof. J. L. Capezzali’s and J. Guichard’s class). Mr. Beinaris has performed solo with the Orchestra della Toscana, Tiroler Symphonie Orchester Innsbruck, Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Lvov Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Kiev chamber orchestra of the soloists,  Hundisburg Orchestra of the International Academy, Orchestra of Baroque Music “Musica Humana”, „Baltic Kremerata“ and others. Mr. Beinaris took part at many musical festivals, including the International Jurijanu Andrejs Wind Instruments competition, where Mr. Beinaris received the first prize in 2001, and the International competition “Music Without Boarders”, where Mr. Beinaris together with his leaded oboe quartet won the first place in 2007. In 2009 Mr. Beinaris become the best soloist at the Lithuanian Championship of wind bands.  

Gleb Pyšniak (b.1987) started his active career as a performer at the age of 12. He has graduated the Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy and currently studies with professor Stefan Kropfitsch at the Music and Performing Arts University in Vienna. Mr. Pyšniak is constantly appearing at such famous concert halls as the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory in Russia, Casa da Musica in Portugal, the Fazioli Concert Hall in Italy, the Teatro Verdi in Italy, Edvard Grieg museum in Norway and others. He has played with such orchestras as Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Vidzemes Chamber Orchestra, Porto Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Conservatory. Mr. Pyšniak is a prize-winner of many national and international competitions, including the Karl Davydov IV International Cello Competition, 1st prize and a special prize Accord case of the VI Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition in Poreč, The August Dombrovskis VI International Competition, Yamaha Scholarship Award in 2010. In 2006 he was awarded by Lithuanian president Valdas Adamkus for the making the cultural name of Lithuania known abroad.
